Happy Mother's day to both of our Mom's. We are so grateful for everything you have done for us. We love you both!!
Just a couple more days....or weeks according to the doctor until we will officially be parents. Friday, at my last doctor appointment, the doctor said I wasn't dilated, but what does he know he's only been doing this for twenty years!! Tomorrow I will only have 4 weeks until my due date, but Ladd sure seems to want to come out sooner. I know I am probably kidding myself, but I've been having a lot of contractions for 10 weeks now and that has to account for something, right? I know I am as impatient as they come (thanks to my father), but I can't hardly stand the anticipation.
Work has been a good distraction and starting next week it looks like I'm going to have a carpool buddy. Doug starts his internship tomorrow and will be spending several days downtown. I'm looking forward to having someone to share the hour commute with everyday.
We spent last weekend up in Utah with family and our mom's threw us a great baby shower. It was so fun to see all of our family and friends in the short amount of time we were able to spend in Utah. After two fun showers it looks like we have just about everything we need for Ladd's arrival. I can't wait to be a mother!! Hopefully our next post will include an exciting announcement. Keep your finger's crossed!!

Doug...it's Kara! I am finally "living in the now" man and doing the blog thing! I didn't even know you were married! I know, let me guess..."you sent me an invitation, and it must have gotten lost in the mail, right?!" Just kidding! But your wife is darling. Hopefully we can all meet someday! Are you guys in Arizona at Med school? We are in Las Vegas for the same thing! Anyways, hope all is well...good luck with the new little one!

You two are so darling! How fun to look at your blog site! I'm so glad Scoot & Niki started a blog and then I found yours! I have no doubt that you will be very darling parents! Doug... please tell me you won't do the "Indian Chief thing" until Ladd is old enough not to be scared of you and scarred for life! We're excited to hear about your little ones arrival!
