I was emailed the following clip of Glenn Beck and I have to admit that this was moving and inspiring. The link and the video are two different tributes. The link is what aired on the news. The video is a little lengthier, and I think it aired on the radio.

The Multi-purpose Laundry Basket
The past couple of weeks we have not had any of Ladd's toys or many other conveniences such as a washer and dryer in our apartment. This Laundry basket has become a life saver. I put Ladd in it when I do just about anything and it works just great.

This is a picture of Ladd in the bathroom playing nicely while I get ready.

This is Ladd and I making one of our 6 trips down to the laundry room. I get a lot of funny looks from the businessmen in the elevators (I think we are the only family living in these apartments), but I don't care because I can't figure out another way to do it. I love being a mom!!!!

Recap of the last month
To sum up our Christmas in a couple of words - "Best Christmas ever"

We started off our Christmas visit to Utah attending a Timothy family Christmas party. Ladd did really well on Santa's lap, we'll keep our fingers crossed that he does this well next year. Ladd kept us amused with his excitement of opening his first gift and his fascination with the chair (see pics below - Doug made me post these). We had a really great time like every year. Thanks Grandma Rae!

We couldn't keep Ladd away from this chair. I can't imagine why?!?

Next we went to"Here is the place monument" for some old fashioned Christmas fun with the Racker family. It was freezing, but it we learned alot and enjoyed time with the whole Racker clan.

What cute kids!
The Sunday before Christmas Ladd got all decked out in his Christmas outfit.

Christmas eve was a tough night for Ladd. The following picture sums up basically all of Christmas morning.

After Christmas we went up to the Bullard's cabin in Idaho and had so much fun. I just can't get enough of being at a cabin with people you love. This is a picture of us cross-country skiing. Loved every minute of it!!

Feels like home to me

The other day as Doug and I drove to dinner I realized that I no longer feel like a visitor here, but that it really feels like home. It is such a beautiful city! Doug has been here for three weeks and Ladd and I for two weeks. We are starting to get settled in our little temporary apartment in downtown Minneapolis. I absolutely love the view from our apartment window of all the high-rises. The only thing I dislike is the ginormous sign outside that indicates the temperature- it is sometimes kind of depressing when it is 1 in the afternoon and it is -1 degrees. Doug is enjoying his new job and Ladd and I are enjoying.... ummm... errrr..??? let's me honest we don't do a whole lot, but play and walk around the mall that our apartment building is connected to. I really do love this place. We live basically in the center of the city and almost all the buildings are connected by these little indoor bridges, so we don't have to go outside very often -thank goodness.
If you can't tell by my ramblings and my sudden desire to blog about nothing, Doug is out of town again. He went back to Arizona for a day to meet the movers and get our camera cord - my reason for not blogging. Check back later this weekend and I will have some more posts with pics.
