The sun has come out!

The weather has been so nice for the last two days and it has definitley lifted my spirits too. Yesterday Ladd and I went to Lowes (our weekly home improvement trip) and although the wind was blowing so hard that I almost lost my little Ladd in the shopping cart, neither of us could stop smiling. It is amazing the effect the sun has on me. Here are some pictures of the dreary weather we had last week. Ladd and me spent several days without going outside so I made Doug take him to get the mail even though it was icing outside (I'm not sure if anyone uses the term icing when referring to frozen rain, but sleeting sounds funny). And yes Ladd is wearing my coat- we thought winter would be over too soon to justify buying him a coat. Now I've come to the sad realization that coat weather is 8 months of the year in Minnesota. Awesome!!

**Update: Ladd has now been falling asleep on his own for several weeks. I have to thank everyone for your great suggestions and insight. We used a combination of many of them and it did the trick - I sure hope posting this doesn't jinx us, but I just wanted to say thank you for contributing to our sanity.

New Tricks!

Here's the latest from Minneapolis - Ladd went from crawling to driving a car in two days! Well, he's not driving yet but he's growing up way too fast. There's not much fear in this little guy, he gets that from his mom. He tries to run wherever he goes and usually ends up face planting into the floor. Occasionally he'll walk slow enougth that he can keep his balance.

You have got to be joking me!!

So I've decided to invest in a jogging stroller to get in shape this spring and so I've been doing my research and stumbled across this fantastic find on Samsclub.com. Now you can take your dog for a jog without your dog needing to take a single step. You have a female dog? Don't worry it comes in pink and yellow too. I'm so glad that Sams club has has two dog strollers, a pet crib, and yes a pet high chair, yet not a real baby stroller. And to think I use to make my dog jog with me. What's next!?
