Feels like home to me

The other day as Doug and I drove to dinner I realized that I no longer feel like a visitor here, but that it really feels like home. It is such a beautiful city! Doug has been here for three weeks and Ladd and I for two weeks. We are starting to get settled in our little temporary apartment in downtown Minneapolis. I absolutely love the view from our apartment window of all the high-rises. The only thing I dislike is the ginormous sign outside that indicates the temperature- it is sometimes kind of depressing when it is 1 in the afternoon and it is -1 degrees. Doug is enjoying his new job and Ladd and I are enjoying.... ummm... errrr..??? let's me honest we don't do a whole lot, but play and walk around the mall that our apartment building is connected to. I really do love this place. We live basically in the center of the city and almost all the buildings are connected by these little indoor bridges, so we don't have to go outside very often -thank goodness.

If you can't tell by my ramblings and my sudden desire to blog about nothing, Doug is out of town again. He went back to Arizona for a day to meet the movers and get our camera cord - my reason for not blogging. Check back later this weekend and I will have some more posts with pics.

It's beautiful! I'm so glad you've finally blogged. We miss you! I'm jealous you're connected to a mall. I can't wait to see pics of Ladd. Love you and miss you.
