Doug's dad, Brad, came to visit us the first weekend in May for Oliver's baby blessing. He drove 20+ hours and through a snow storm to get here and we loved having him.
Ollie's daddy gave him a beautiful blessing on May 3rd and we were so glad to have Grandpa there for this special occasion.
Ladd and Ollie adored their
Gampa.
Ollie slept for hours on end in Brad's arms and
Ladd wanted to be just like
Gampa. Brad bought him his first cap and
Ladd loves wearing it. On Sunday afternoon we took a walk around Lake Camelot where eagle-eyed-grandpa pointed out various birds, turtles, and muskrats.
Ladd loved the animals, but mostly he loved his grandpa time. I was also in big need of a break from my mom duties and Brad and Doug made sure I had plenty of kid-free time. It was an awesome weekend and we can't wait until Grandpa Brad comes back!
